Sus investigaciones han sido financiadas por Fulbright, the Brazilian Studies Association, the American Council for Learned Societies, y the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. Es cofundadora del colectivo de crítica de arte Dual.

Nohora recibió un doctorado en literatura latinoamericana y estudios culturales de Georgetown University.

She is co-founder of the art criticism collective Dual.

Nohora received a Ph.D. in Latin American literature and cultural studies from Georgetown University.
